FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to the Assistant Director as head of LTD's branch in matters relating to standards and vehicle inspection.
- Ensure the operational of vehicle inspection runs smoothly and organized.
- Ensure all inspection equipment in every lane of inspection are calibrated and in good condition before operating.
- Explain any inquiries and facilitate services to the public.
- Prepare
duty roster for Car Inspectorate and Assistance Car Inspectorate at the
Vehicles Inspection Section, Licensing Section and Driving Test.
- Prepare reports on any damages to equipment of vehicle inspections, structure of building and Inspection Center area.
- Carry
out any instructions from the Director or Deputy Director of Land
Transport Department in any related matters from time to time.
SERVICES:
I. Licensing (Driving Licence and Vehicle Licence) and inspection of vehicles 7 years and above.
II. Processing and approval of the following applications:
- Change of ownership
- Finance (loan)
- Ceased
- Copy of the Registration Book
- Change: color, address and engine of vehicle
- Non-use, and others related with vehicle license.
III . Driving Test - Highway Code (HWC) Test
- Test Drive (on the Road)
- Road Safety Briefing (Endorsement and Just Passed)
