The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications as well as the Departments and Agencies of the Authority under it held an Ilal Hijrah celebration and a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony for haj pilgrims for the year 1447/2025, organised by the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD) today, at the Aman Pahlawan Hall, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications.
Present at the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Mulia Imam Haji Mohammad Asyraf bin Haji Bujang, Imam of Brunei International Airport’s Surau, and followed by a special talk in conjunction with the Ilal Hijrah 1447 celebration titled ‘Hijrah Kecil Yang Memberi Impak Besar’, delivered by Yang Mulia Ustaz Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi, Religious Officer, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The ceremony proceeded with the reading of Dikir Asyraqal and Doa Kesyukuran, for the safe return of twelve (12) pilgrims under the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Departments and Agencies of the Authority under it, led by Yang Mulia Imam Haji Mohammad Asyraf bin Haji Bujang, Imam of Brunei International Airport’s Surau.
This ceremony is an annual religious activity organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), aimed at commemorating and enlivening the 1447 Ilal Hijrah celebration, as well as celebrating the safe return of officers and staff members of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Departments and Agencies of the Authority under it, who have recently returned from performing the Haj pilgrimage this year.
Also present during the event were the Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transport), Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications), Chief Executives, Directors, Heads of Departments, Senior Officials, Officers and staff members of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Departments and Agencies of the Authority under it.
