The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) launched Navigating 2030 - MPABD’s Five-Year Strategic Plan 2026-2030 today at Indera Kayangan Ballroom, The Empire Brunei.
As an initial step towards the transformation of Brunei Darussalam’s postal sector, PosBru Sdn Bhd (“PosBru”) held an Open Day on 10 December 2025. The session served to provide key stakeholders with a clear overview of PosBru’s role, operating model, and future direction following the corporatisation of the Brunei Postal Services Department (“BPSD”). The session was attended by representatives from all Government agencies, relevant stakeholders, as well as business customers of BPSD.
Brunei Darussalam through the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) was privileged to participate in the Digital Government Forum 2025, with the theme “Accelerating Digital Future: Governance, Growth, and Global Partnerships”, held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 5 to 7 December 2025.
The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications of Brunei Darussalam signed a Record of Discussion with the Department for Transport of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the sidelines of the 34th International Maritime Organization (IMO) Assembly. Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Salihin bin Haji Aspar, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transport) at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), led the discussions on the modernisation of air services on behalf of Brunei Darussalam on 27 November 2025 in London.
The 34th Regular Session of International Maritime Organization (IMO) Assembly commenced on 24 November 2025 at the IMO Headquarters in London, United Kingdom. The IMO Assembly, which convenes every two (2) years, is the Organization’s highest decision-making body, bringing together 176 Member States. The IMO Assembly deliberates on global maritime and shipping policies, including maritime safety and security, marine environment protection, legal matters, technical cooperation and capacity building.
The 31st ASEAN Transport Ministers (ATM) Meeting and Associated Meetings was held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on 20th November 2025. The annual Meeting serves as a key platform for ASEAN Member States to review progress, realign priorities and advance collaborative initiatives that support safe, efficient and sustainable regional connectivity.
Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi (MTIC) dengan kerjasama Pihak Berkuasa Industri Info-komunikasi Negara Brunei Darussalam (AITI) telah mengadakan Acara Pelancaran Kajian Persediaan Negara Brunei Darussalam untuk ASEAN ‘Digital Economic Framework Agreement (DEFA) di Dewan Amar Pahlawan, Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi.
