Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi (MTIC) serta Jabatan-Jabatan, Autoriti dan Pihak Berkuasa di bawahnya telah mengadakan Majlis Sambutan Ilal Hijrah 1448 dan Majlis Do’a Kesyukuran Jemaah Haji bagi Tahun 1448/2026, pada hari ini bertempat di Dewan Amar Pahlawan, Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Infokomunikasi.
The 22nd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation (AMMSTI-22) was held on 26 June 2026, in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, preceded by the 89th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI-89) and related Dialogue Partner meetings held from 22 to 25 June 2026. ASEAN Member States engaged in open, strategic and forward-looking discussions on sustainable innovation, digital integration and public-private partnerships. The primary objective was to provide guidance on advancing the ASEAN Plan of Action on Science, Technology and Innovation (APASTI) 2026–2035 to ensure the region remains resilient, sustainable, and competitive.
The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), together with the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI), conducted the Brunei Darussalam Readiness Survey Workshop of ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA) at Dewan Amar Pahlawan, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, from 23–24 June 2026.
The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) today convened the Digital Brunei 2030 (DB2030) Dialogue Session themed “Together Towards a Digital Brunei”, bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, and communities to discuss the practical implementation of Brunei Darussalam’s national digital agenda under Wawasan Brunei 2035.
The Digital Brunei Council is pleased to announce the release of Digital Brunei 2030: The Digital Brunei Transformation Plan, a five-year national plan setting the country's direction for digital growth through to 2030. Formulated with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the masterplan, under the theme “Together Towards a Digital Brunei," marks the next phase of the nation's digital journey, building upon the foundations established by the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 in support of the long-term aspirations of Wawasan 2035.
The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), together with its departments and regulatory agencies under it, held a Korban Ceremony and Hari Raya Aidiladha Celebration for the year 1447H/2026M at Dewan Amar Pahlawan, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Building, this morning. This event for this year was organised by the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD).

ASEAN held its Sixty-First ASEAN Senior Transport Officials Meeting (61st STOM) and the Fifth ASEAN and United States Senior Transport Officials Dialogue (5th ASEAN-U.S. STOD) on 19 – 21 May 2026 via video conference. Yang Mulia Ir. Mohammad Nazri Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) led Brunei Darussalam’s delegation to the meetings.
Brunei Darussalam’s team, ΣHAI, represented by Ummi Salwa Suhaimei and Hein Minn Tun @ Salman from The Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB HIS), Universiti Brunei Darussalam, achieved a significant regional milestone after emerging as overall champion at the inaugural AI Ready ASEAN Youth Challenge 2026 held in conjunction with the ATxSummit 2026 in Singapore, with their innovative AI-powered dementia care platform known as Sahabat-Care.
