Tuesday, 30 August 2022 - Permanent Secretary of MTIC attended the 5th ASEAN Smart Cities Network Annual Meeting




Yang Mulia Mohammad Nazri bin Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Brunei Darussalam attended the 5th ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN) Annual Meeting that took place on 30 August 2022 via video conference.

The Meeting, among others, discussed the latest developments and achievements of smart city projects and initiatives under ASCN where Brunei Darusssalam shared the progress of a number of projects including the three flagship projects of Digital Economy Masterplan: Digital ID, Digital Payment and National Information Hub.

Brunei Darussalam also presented the summary activities of ASCN 2021 which was under Brunei Darussalam's chairmanship. Additionally, the Meeting also discussed the deliverables for 2022 and cooperation with external partners as well as agreed to publish the ASCN Monitoring and Evaluation Report 2022 and the subsequent reports on the existing ASCN webpage and future ASCN online portal.
