Sunday, 4 December 2022 - Yang Mulia Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications attended the 4th ASEAN-Japan Smart Cities Network High Level Meeting
​Yang Mulia Awang Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications attended the 4th ASEAN-Japan Smart Cities Network High Level Meeting on 4 December 2022 via video conference.

The Meeting, among others, discussed on the measures undertaken by the members of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN) as well as Government of Japan towards building smart and sustainable cities where Brunei Darussalam shared the progress of a number of projects including the three flagship projects of Digital Economy Masterplan: Digital ID, Digital Payment and National Information Hub as well as the recently launched Pilot Bus Passenger Information System.

ASEAN-Japan Smart Cities Network High Level Meeting is an annual platform for ASEAN and Japan to share progresses, knowledges and experiences for the benefit of making cities in ASEAN smarter.

The Meeting was attended by ASCN members, Government agencies of Japan as well as the companies under the Japanese Association for Smart Cities in ASEAN (JASCA).
