1. 1.Dengan penuh hormat dan takzim hamba Duli Tuanku menyembahkan setinggi-tinggi menjunjung kasih di atas keberangkatan Duli Tuanku berangkat hadir sebagai Tetamu Kehormat bagi Majlis Makan Malam Gala Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards 2012 (APICTA 2012). Hamba Duli Tuanku menjunjung ampun menyembahkan kata alu-aluan selanjutnya didalam Bahasa Inggeris.

Deputy Mnisters, Your Excellencies Members of the Diplomatic Core, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, panels of APICTA judges and Committee Members of APICTA, participants of APICTA, senior officials, members of the private sector, ladies and gentlemen.

1. 2.Brunei Darussalam is honoured to host the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA) competition for the very firstA warm welcome to all the executive committees, judges and fellow participants from 11 member economies of APICTA Alliance to Brunei Darussalam.

1. 3.Participants competing in APICTA are made up of winners from national ICT competitions held in the respective APICTA member economies. We have the champions competing here in Brunei Darussalam. Hence, APICTA is indeed a very exciting platform for participants to gain more experience, create opportunities for networking and strengthen their footing in the region.

1. 4.APICTA is also the platform for regional benchmarks in ICT innovations. As such, APICTA 2012 offers 17 categories in various aspects of ICT for participation. These categories, among others, include categories for tertiary and secondary students, tools and infrastructure, e-Learning, e-Health and so forth. From the Asia Pacific region, we have received a total of 153 participants. These participants are judged by 55 judges representing 11 member economies of APICTA. Tonight, after months of hard work and dedications, we will witness the winners of APICTA.

Your Royal Highness, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

1. 5.I am very pleased to share with you that there are new features in APICTA this year. For APICTA 2012, the judges are using a new scoring system in their judging. This new scoring system is created by a Bruneian company and is used for the first time here in Brunei Darussalam. This new scoring system has enhanced the features of the previous scoring system and will continue to be used by APICTA in the coming years. In addition, an iPhone app was also developed by another Bruneian company. Those who download this app will be able to get updates on APICTA 2012.

1. 6.The experience of hosting APICTA 2012 in Brunei Darussalam is a memorable event for our ICT industry. This event is more meaningful with the presence of Your Royal Highness to present the awards to the winners of APICTA. To conclude, I would like to thank Your Royal Highness for your kind consent to be present here with us tonight. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the APICTA Executive Committees Members, panels of judges, and nominees for making APICTA 2012 a successful and memorable event for us.

1. 7.Hamba Duli Tuanku sekali lagi menyembahkan setinggi-tinggi menjunjung kasih diatas keberangkatan Duli Tuanku berangkat sebagai Tetamu Kehormat untuk majlis ini. Keberangkatan Duli Tuanku setentunya menjadi pendorong bagi para penggiat industri ICT di Negara ini lebih bersemangat untuk menghasilkan produk-produk yang terbaik untuk dipertandingkan pada masa ini dan untuk masa akan datang. Seterusnya keberangkatan Duli Tuanku juga adalah pengalaman yang paling manis bagi para peserta APICTA dan pengunjung dari luar negara.

1. 8.Hamba Duli Tuanku menjunjung perkenan Duli Tuanku mengambil kesempatan ini untuk turut merakamkan penghargaan kepada pihak-pihak yang terlibat atas sumbangan buah fikiran dan komitmen bagi menjayakan APICTA 2012 seperti:-

1. i.Kementerian-Kementerian dan Jabatan-Jabatan yang berkaitan;
2. ii.Pihak Berkuasa Industri Teknologi Info-Komunikasi (AITI);
3.  iii.Brunei Shell Petroleum
4.  iv.iCentre;
5. v.Telekom Brunei Berhad; dan
6.  vi.Para penaja sekalian.

1. 9. Hamba Duli Tuanku seterusnya menjunjung ampun sekiranya terdapat sebarang suruk langkah dan tutur kata yang kurang manis dalam sembah alu-aluan hamba Duli Tuanku dan dalam majlis pada malam ini.
