Currently, there has been an increase in the services of domestic runners to meet the needs of the public. Therefore, as a measure to safeguard the interests and well-being of the business sector,
domestic runners and particularly the general public during the COVID-19 pandemic situation, domestic runners are urged and required to register through the website
www.mtic.gov.bn/pendaftaran starting

Domestic runners are those who provide the following services, either on a full-time or part-time basis, domestically within Brunei Darussalam:
a. Individuals who provide delivery services to the public, home-based businesses and registered businesses such as restaurants and other businesses.
b. Individuals who are employees of a registered runner delivery services business.
c. Employees who carry out the delivery services for a registered business for an example restaurant or supermarket or other businesses.
For Transport Operators companies with approval from the Prime Minister’s Office to exit and enter Brunei Darussalam during the COVID-19 situation, they are required to identify and differentiate their employees designated as “Transport Operators” and “Domestic Runners”. The employees designated as domestic runners are required to be registered under their company.
The information required for this registration includes general information such as full name, smart identity card number, mobile phone number, home address, email address, vehicle registration number and for those serving under the registered company, they must also provide the company’s name respectively. Information such as Bru-HIMS number and vaccination status are also required for this registration.
To complete the registration process, Domestic runners are also required to accept a number of declarations stating that they are carrying out domestic runner services and will comply to the laws, rules and guidelines set out under the Infectious Diseases Act Chapter 204 as well as other relevant laws and regulations in Brunei Darussalam.
After the registration process is completed, an e-notification will be emailed to the respective runners. MTIC will also upload a list of registered domestic runners on MTIC’s website,
www.mtic.gov.bn/runnersdirectory as a directory containing contact details of domestic runners in Brunei Darussalam as a reference for the business sector and the public.
Domestic runners are required to get a COVID-19 swab test (Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 test)) at the Bridex Drive-Through Swab Centre at least once a week to make sure they are negative from the COVID-19 virus and to update the last date of their COVID-19 swab test on a weekly basis in the website
