The duties of the Council members shall include, but not limited to the following::
- Provide digital leadership in the country to all sectors of the economy.
- Initiate, own and drive the National Digital Economy Plan and Sectoral/Cluster masterplans and action plans.
- Provide direction on promoting digital awareness and diffusion in the country.
- Tasked with executive powers and is responsible for delivery of recommended programmes and actions.
- Approve and coordinate all the key programmes related to Digital Economy.
- Monitor the indicators for Digital Economy related
- Plan, approve and oversee budget utilization for the Digital Economy programmes.
