- By consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Digital Economy Council has been established to to provide steer and leadership on national initiatives related to digital economy.
- The establishment of the Digital Economy Council will also guide the policy towards Brunei Darussalam as a Smart Nation.
